Fireplace Doors and Gas Log Sets
Fireplace Doors
Only Spokane Fireplace & Patio specialize in providing glass fireplace glass doors in the Spokane area. There are a number of reasons people choose to install glass enclosures:
- To prevent heat loss up the chimney.
- To update an older existing door.
- To beautify the room by hiding the dirty firebox.
- Fireplace doors are required by code when installing gas burning log sets.
We can even provide custom sizing of fireplace doors to fit unusual shapes and irregular surfaces. We also provide professional installation.
We use two high quality door manufacturers: Fireplace Door Manufacturers (FDM) and Portland Willamette (PW). Together they offer an incredible range of styles and finishes to suit your specific needs.

Gas Log Sets
Our "RealFyre" Gas Logs are built by the R.H. Peterson (RHP) company. Once again, we choose to offer only the best quality products available. RHP has been the industry leader for over fifty years. We have had great success with their products as they have given our customers years of dependable service.
Gas logs are not intended to supplement the heating needs of the home; one would choose an insert if they were hoping to do so. Gas logs may generate some radiant energy, but since they damper is open and the glass doors must be opened when burning the gas logs, the convective heat loss may negate the radiant heat gain.
Some would look to "ventless" gas log sets, but our experience is that the odor and moisture with such products create unacceptable conditions and they are banned in many states. We do not offer "ventless" products.
We have installed gas log sets from 12" lengths up to 60" lengths. Sizing is determined by the dimensions of the fireplace. There are many styles of logs and burners from which to choose.
When installing gas logs we are required by code to block the damper partially open so in order to minimize heat loss, we are required to also install glass doors.
